Bubba Wallace, the 23X1 Racing’s No:23 car driver, married his long-time girlfriend Amanda Carter on New Year’s Eve in Charlotte. 250 guests witnessed the special night of the couple’s life at the event, and they had a bright start to 2023. The couple will jet off to Bora Bora for their honeymoon before Wallace’s cup returns this year.
To make the night an immortal memory for the rest of their lives they wore custom-made designer outfits for the event. Carter dressed in a white gown by Madam Burcu Couture, and shoes by Lola Cruz. Wallace used a custom dark red velvet tuxedo designed by Stitched by Mitch Purgason. Now Purgason has come forth revealing that he had some hidden message’s engraved in the driver’s suit.
He pointed out that he adds the birth year of the driver in every suit he makes for him as a signature touch. Purgason told PEOPLE, “Every suit that I make Bubba I include ‘Est 1993’ the year he was born embroidered somewhere hidden either on his pants or his jacket,”.
Purgason also featured Bubba’s favorite color orange in the suit. He revealed, “I also feature a Milanese tri-colored buttonhole. Something that can only be done by hand, and that’s usually a gradient of the color that he is wearing,“.
The suits worn by the groomsman were also special. They were designed in Italy and were made using ombre textured wool. The wool was manufactured by the same firm that makes the iconic suits for the fictional spy character James Bond.

“Getting married, and starting a new life together, I’m just so excited to have a good one in my corner. We have so much fun together,” said Bubba Wallace after the special ceremony. They celebrated the event with a DJ night featuring a handpicked song by the couple.
“We just have such a good bond. I love the time we spend together. We could sit around together all day every day and we don’t get tired of one another. And he’s also handsome and charming,” said Carter on the special night.
The guests included Bubba’ close friends Ryan Blaney, Daniel Suarez, William Byron, and NASCAR legend Dale Eanhardt Jr. among many others. They were greeted with a special dinner party at the event organized by the couple. They had a non-conventional dinner party featuring McDonald’s food truck…etc.
“We’re not doing a seated dinner with over 200 people. We wanted to make sure that we have time to see everybody. And a seated dinner really can take away from being able to talk to everybody,” Amanda Carter said about the dinner.
“The food will be really fun. We just really wanted it to be a fun atmosphere, not stuffy, even though everyone will be dressed up. We wanted a more casual food setting since it was late in the evening. And then at 1 a.m. when the party’s over, we have a McDonald’s food truck coming to serve chicken nuggets and french fries,” Amanda Carter added.
