Bryan Singers New Film Red Sonja Delayed Following Litany Of Sexual Assault Allegations

Mr. Bryan Singer’s reputation in Hollywood appears to be forever tarnished. Despite the fact, his latest film, Bohemian Rhapsody – primarily directed by him –  has been nominated for several awards and did very well at the box office, Singer’s luck appears to have run out.

According to a new report, Millenium Films has delayed filming of Singer’s latest movie, titled Red Sonja, following the recent cascade of allegations against him among them including rape, harassment, and sexual assault.

A spokesperson for the organization, Avi Lerner, said the “project is not on the slate at the moment and is not for sale at the European Market in Berlin,” Germany. They initially had planned to begin working on the movie in Bulgaria this year, but the repeated allegations called Singer’s reputation into serious question. Studios are increasingly reluctant to work with him for fear of backlash.

This all comes two weeks after Lerner, the longtime chairman, and leader of the organization, side-stepped a report from The Atlantic in which Singer was accused of sexual misconduct by several young men. Remarkably, Bohemian Rhapsody grossed $800,000,000 and was nominated for several awards, despite the allegations against Singer.

Previously, the spokesperson said that people are innocent before proven guilty. Supposedly, a thirteen-year-old boy had his genitals fondled by the director on the set of Apt Pupil. The incident caused him considerable distress.

Another young man claims to have had sex with Bryan when he was under the age of 18. The director, Singer, has repeatedly and consistently denied sexual misconduct and called the story from The Atlantic “a homophobic smear piece.”

Coincidentally, the story from the outlet was published just one day after Bohemian Rhapsody received approximately five Academy Award nominations including Best Picture for both Rami Malek and the producer of the flick, Graham King.

As a consequence of the allegations, the Queen biopic lost its GLAAD nomination. Perhaps the most tragically ironic part of the whole fiasco is the fact the film humanized gay people, but the man who helmed the flick is supposedly a perpetrator of abuse.

For that reason, GLAAD dropped their nomination of the movie.
